The original email Medium sent out stated that they were only looking for feedback from US citizens. Then they sent out that follow-up email inviting members to participate. I can see why members would feel rattled receiving the disqualifying message.
If anything, the second email/survey should've have indicated they were looking for only US citizens to do the survey. It would've prevented people from feeling any "discrimination."
The only reason I clicked on the survey was because I thought they were opening up the survey to people who lived OUTSIDE of USA, but yep, I was disappointed I didn't qualify after starting the survey! Just poor planning and wording on Medium's end, in my opinion!
