The Cat Came Back
March Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Pet People”
Visits when she’s in the mood.
In my story about the mysterious kitty who wandered into my house as if she owned it, a few readers wondered if she came back.
Kitty came back several times. Whenever I see her in the courtyard, I pet her, she purrs and she follows me into the house. Each time, she demonstrates the same behavior — she runs up and down the stairs and then settles down and watches the fish tank for a while, meows and leaves.
She lives in the neighborhood, but I still don't know her name or owner — but Kitty knows me.
I don’t know if she enters other strangers’ houses but she’s the friendliest cat I know — my son and I love it whenever Kitty visits.
“Pet People” are people who love and care for animals and either have pets, work with or protect animals or creatures, or simply come across animals in their daily lives — and have developed a social or emotional connection with them.
