Such a great way to explain this:)

…joked that I was scared to take it off. But underlying this was something more meaningful to me — it was a manifestation of connection and the way I, as a foreigner, could feel connected despite barriers of language and culture. I didn’t want to lose the feeling that the memory and reminder gave me.
