Oh what a beautiful collection of photos. I truly enjoyed this piece and the photos. I also love photographing "still life" but in my world, I call it "nature art" which I define as working with pieces of nature to create temporary artwork without destroying the environment.
I'm the creator and owner of Six Word Photo Story Challenge publication and your piece reminded me of one of our Monthly Challenges...called "Nature Art" that I ran this Spring. https://medium.com/six-word-photo-story-challenge/nature-art-six-words-a-photo-may-june-conclusion-10f27059cf20
The lovely and talented Anne Bonfert intrroduced me to you via her "Is this Still Life?" piece published in my publication on Sept 14, where she linked your story in this cool photo pub.
I wished I'd known of you when I ran the Nature Art challenge...as no doubt, I imagine you would have some amazing photo submissions!
Photography 101 looks like a great pub too! I love discovering and supporting other photography publications on the platform. I see it's a new publication and I hope it does well! My pub only accepts ONE photo per story, so I can refer Photography 101 to writers who like to use more than one photo in their stories.
I've taken the liberty of adding you as a writer to my publication, should you be interested in submitting anytime in the future. We run a new monthly challenge each month. This month's prompt is "Comfort" but we accept freestyle pieces in our Freestyle section anytime. Feel free to submit any of your "still life" photos under the Freestyle section or any other photographs of any style.
Here's the link to the main page. https://medium.com/six-word-photo-story-challenge
The concept of the publication is: "Can you tell a story in six words inspired by a photo taken by yourself?" The format is ONE photo, one 6-word-story that connects the photo to the story, and an optional maximum 2-minute back story about the photo.
If this is something that interests you, I look forward to seeing more of your photos. And no worries, if it's not. Have a great week, GEM:) Mary.
