Hi Susan, thank you so much for reading and for your thoughtful comments. Sugar is so tough to quit and I've struggled with it for many years.

I hear you, some professions say "restricting" doesn't work, but I really think cutting/reducing sugar works differently for everyone.

For me, I needed to go cold turkey, to at least get started. That was the only way, because I wasn't able to "cut-down." If I had access to junk/sugar, that was an invitation for me to binge!

I think it's a good idea to not let those things "over the doorstep" like you did in the past, because if it's not in the house, it's not on your mind! Or at least you don't have easy access to it.

I hope you find a way to make it work out well for you when it comes to cutting sugar. Please hang in there, Susan! You got this. Even if you just start with 3 days, that can turn into 10 days, and then I found through my own experience, it gets a little easier to resist as the days pass.

I can tell you I was hugely addicted to milk chocolate and I haven't eaten it for 4 months, but I've grown to enjoy a slice of dark chocolate now and then! I used to HATE dark chocolate, but my taste buds are changing, and believe it or not, and I can actually taste the sweetness in dark chocolate, and I don't feel any guilt about eating it!

All the best in your journey, my dear. Truly. I'll be cheering you on in spirit. If you ever write a story about it, please tag me as I'd love to read about your progress.

PS. On another note, I loved your stories about PJ in our pub this month:) What a cutie.
