Hi David...swimming in the cold water is hard work...but it's when I reach that comfortably numb moment is where I feel most alive! I've never encountered snakes or any other dangerous things in open water.

At the river in the photo, I've only seen little fish...salmon I think. The bottom of the river is covered in rocks (which I love looking at) and the water is super clear.

In the ocean, I also see fish, lots of seaweed and the other day I saw a white jellyfish, which was kinda scary but also cool. Sometimes, there are seals, but they're usually quite far away from me.
