Great article with lots of good points. As an editor, I can relate. While the pub I own on Medium is short form, we only accept 6 word stories that connect with a photograph they’ve taken and an optional 2-minute backstory, there are many people who neglect the guidelines and submit stories that have nothing to do with our format.
